Jo Elliott paints primarily with watercolor on paper but occasionally enjoys the challenge of switching to acrylic on canvas. Her work has been exhibited and collected throughout the Southeast where she has gained widespread recognition for her colorful landscapes.
While anything that grabs her attention can become a painting, Jo is continually drawn to an irresistible subject: water. Her paintings of rivers and creeks, beaches, boats and birds are a reflection of the beauty surrounding her on the Georgia coast.
Simply stated, Jo loves the creative process of painting … and if her work resonates with people, bringing them a smile or sense of comfort, then she is happy.
